The narrative of this project is based on the sensational news from the Polish press published in the French department of Nord-Pas-de-Calais in the years 1926–1937. At this time, there were over half a million Polish migrants living in northern France. The press cuttings marked the route of the author’s journey around the region. The project is made up of photographs of the places where the events described by the gutter press of the day took place, photographs that were triggered by the found histories and other photos inspired by the trip.
